North West Honors Tyler the Creator and H.E.R. with Halloween Costumes
For Halloween, North West showcased her impressive recreations of Tyler the Creator and H.E.R., with the R&B singer reacting to her costume.
North West made sure to shine during the spooky season. The 11-year-old continued to express her love for music icons in her 2024 Halloween looks, dressing up as not one, but two legendary artists—Tyler the Creator and H.E.R.
Northern displayed her costumes through a series of TikToks on a joint account she shares with her mom. She perfectly embodied Tyler’s style from his 2019 “EARFQUAKE” music video, donning a powder blue suit paired with a platinum blonde bowl-cut wig. In an Oct. 30 clip, North sported a skirt suit version of the ensemble, striking poses and dancing in front of a silver streamer backdrop just like Tyler does in the video.
No wonder North chose to dress as Tyler; she had attended his Chromakopia tour just days before Halloween with friends. In one clip, she excitedly praised him, saying, “Yes, Tyler, you ate that up!”
For her next costume transformation, North took on musician H.E.R., whose real name is Gabriella Sarmiento Wilson. She recreated H.E.R.’s striking black and white leather outfit from her performance at the 2024 Super Bowl halftime show alongside Usher.
Northern jammed out in this identical look while wielding a red electric guitar, complete with shades and a lavalier microphone. In an adorable video, she was joined by a friend who dressed as Usher in an all-white tank top and pants ensemble.
The “Every Kind of Way” singer was impressed by North’s costume and shared images on her Instagram Stories on Halloween, exclaiming, “TWIN KILLED IT!!!!!!!!”
This isn’t the first time North has transformed into a musical legend for Halloween. In 2022, she recreated TLC’s “No Scrubs” music video looks as Chilli. That same year she also honored the late Aaliyah as part of a themed family costume featuring other musical greats. And in 2023, she teamed up with friends once more to dress as Raven-Symone’s character Galleria from the Cheetah Girls.
