Halle Berry Reacts to Halle Bailey's Halloween Costume Inspired by Her
This Halloween, Halle Bailey, Tyla, and Coi Leray each paid tribute to iconic characters portrayed by Halle Berry, an homage that the Oscar-winning actress described as “the best compliment ever.”
Bailey embraced her admiration for Berry by dressing up as Jinx Johnson, the character from Berry's role in the 2002 James Bond film Die Another Day. She shared stunning photos on Instagram where she showcased her outfit: an orange bikini paired with a white belt holster complete with a knife. To complete the look, Bailey sported Berry’s signature short hairstyle while posing against a beach backdrop.
Berry responded enthusiastically to Bailey's tribute, commenting on her post, “My girl did that! What a huge compliment! Love you angel.”
The influence of Halle Berry extended beyond Bailey this Halloween. Fellow musicians Tyla and Coi Leray also drew inspiration from Berry's memorable roles. Tyla channeled Berry’s character from The Flintstones, donning an animal print two-piece and accessorizing with rock-inspired jewelry while mimicking props from the movie. She captioned her post humorously referencing one of Berry’s iconic lines: “Well I’ve been a very bad girl...but you have to admit…I was very verrrrry good at it.” Berry praised her look by commenting, “Too good.”
Meanwhile, Coi Leray paid homage to Patience Phillips from Catwoman, wearing a striking all-black suit complemented by Catwoman's ears and wielding a whip. Berry applauded this costume as well, remarking on Instagram, “Killed it!!”
To express her delight about these tributes, Berry took to X (formerly Twitter), stating, “They all crushed it,” emphasizing how special it was for her to be honored in such creative ways this Halloween.
