Shia LaBeouf found himself at the center of a viral moment this week after he was filmed confronting an alleged stalker who has been targeting him for months. The video shows LaBeouf leaning into the driver’s-side window of a parked car in what appears to be a grocery store parking lot. “God bless you, leave me alone!” LaBeouf tells the woman. “Hi, how are you? Hey, you’re scaring my dad. You’re scaring my people. You hear me? You know what I’m saying? God bless you. Leave me alone.”The woman has posted more than 5,000 videos to her Instagram page, the vast majority of which address LaBeouf directly and refer to him as her husband. She believes he is connected to her late husband through an elaborate theory involving clones and coded messages.Hours after the video began circulating, Alyssa Lee Couture, 40, was arrested on a misdemeanor stalking charge. Authorities have not officially confirmed LaBeouf as the alleged victim due to privacy policies. The confrontation lands during an already turbulent stretch for LaBeouf. The actor was arrested during Mardi Gras festivities in New Orleans on February 17 and charged with two counts of simple battery for allegedly punching a bar employee. He pleaded guilty in June to three counts of simple battery.
