Margot Robbie Welcomes First Child with Tom Ackerley

Margot Robbie and Tom Ackerley, who married in 2016, have joyfully welcomed their first child together.

The star of Barbie, Margot Robbie, has embraced her new role as a mother. Reports confirm that she recently gave birth to a baby boy with her husband, Tom Ackerley.

The couple's exciting news comes just three months after Margot first revealed her pregnancy while vacationing in Lake Como, Italy, with Tom in July. Shortly thereafter, they were spotted at Wimbledon, where Margot showcased her baby bump in a stylish white polka dot dress and cape while sharing affectionate moments with Tom.

Margot and Tom have often kept their relationship private, but she recently shared what makes their partnership work during the 2024 Critics Choice Awards. "I am so lucky," she expressed to E! News, highlighting how well they complement each other. "He likes being behind the camera. He's not fazed by any of this stuff."

Their love story began back in 2013 when they met on the set of Suite Française, where Margot had a supporting role and Tom worked as third assistant director. At that time, Margot described herself as the “ultimate single gal.” She once told Vogue, “The idea of relationships made me want to vomit... And then this crept up on me.”

Despite their initial friendship—where she feared revealing her feelings for him—things eventually blossomed into romance. "We were friends for so long," Margot recalled. “I was always in love with him… And then it happened, and I was like, 'Of course we’re together. This makes so much sense.'”

Two years later, they exchanged vows in a private ceremony in Byron Bay, Australia. Though they tend to keep their love life out of the public eye, Margot has previously expressed aspirations for a larger family. In a 2018 interview with Porter magazine, she envisioned herself surrounded by children at festive gatherings: "If I'm looking into my future 30 years from now... I want to see a big Christmas dinner with tons of kids there," she stated. "But definitely not at the moment."
